Almost
Home Animal Rescue is
a non-profit
organization made up
solely of volunteers.
Our primary purpose
is to rescue mistreated or homeless animals
and place them in loving
environments.
We hope to
bring about a significant change in the treatment of all animals
through educational programs and by working closely with other rescue
organizations and sanctuaries.
Almost
Home believes
that every
animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or
physical limitation. No animal is expendable! We strive to give animals
the safe and happy life they deserve.

OUR GOALS
With
your
support, we hope to continue to do the following:
Rescue
animals and locate loving foster and permanent homes. We
work closely with local
and national rescue organizations to rescue and place animals in the
care of loving foster families until we are able to place them in their
permanent homes.
Promote
spaying and neutering
programs. Although Almost
Home does
not have its own spaying and neutering program, we work closely with
veterinarians and other rescue groups that offer such programs at a
discount. Four to six million pets are euthanized in America each year
due to overpopulation and lack of proper homes...we hope that with a
strong spay/neuter program, we can lower these numbers and save
precious lives.
Educate. We
are passionate about
sharing our experience and knowledge with the local communities. With
public outreach, we hope to educate both children and adults alike in
proper pet care and humane treatment of all animals. If you would like
us to speak at your school, business, or group meeting, please see the
link included to the left of this page. We are also interested in using
some of our rescue pets as therapy animals in hospitals and other care
facilities. If we can help in this area, please let us know.
Effect positive change. We
seek to ensure that
local ordinances
and regulations are the most favorable possible for the welfare of
animals.
